Second Semester of Junior Year

High school is only 8 short semesters long, and when you think about it, they usually go by pretty quickly. But we are only a couple weeks into second semester and it seems like it's lasted years.When you're a freshman, you're so excited to finally be in high school and do high school things. So the first semester rolls around fast and it's time to take your first finals ever. Then reality strikes you, and you realize you are now a big high schooler. When you're a sophomore, you're just so happy to finally not be a freshman and you can't wait to be considered an upper classmen. Those two semesters of high school also go by very fast.

Then you get to junior year, and first semester flies right by. You think second semester of your junior year is going to be the same as the first, but it's not. Not for me at least. This semester seems to be the slowest moving one I've ever experienced. Now is the time when things in our life get harder. Everything seems to be getting more difficult. Classes are harder, tests are harder, homework is harder. And it's also time to start preparing for the ACT test we take in April. This is the time when we start thinking about what colleges we want to go to and what we want to do with the rest of our lives. Things are becoming a lot more stressful and it seems to make the time go by a lot slower than it has the past two and a half years.

We are all also thinking about how much of a treat our senior year is going to be. And a lot of us are already developing senioritis. Juniors recently just made their schedules for their senior year and most people's seem to be a joke. I personally can't wait for junior year to be over so we can all be one semester closer to our graduation.

I have to say, our 6th semester in high school is probably going to be the slowest five months of our lives. And I don't think time is going to start going by any faster. I really want to know if anyone feels the same way I do, so let me know! Thanks for reading my blog :)

After Spring Break, the rest of school seems to be a drag. Especially because it's starting to get nice out and no one wants to stay inside doing homework. The bad thing is that this is not to year to let grades slip up, even though it seems so hard and annoying to keep pushing yourself to do better. Hopefully we can keep up our hard work!

Second Semester of junior year is so trecherous!! i want it to be over. i have relationship problems and other things to do. i have so many plans for this summer that i wish could commence right now. The periods go by so fast if i really pay attention!! its weird but its true! pay attention and class will stop very fast! i keep looking at the clock and counting down the # of days left till summer. i study for tests late into the night which is very tiring but whatever. one more year and im done!!!!! hahahahahahah

I think I have had senioritis when I was a freshman. But once 3rd quarter came around this year, I have given up. I have being doing research papers on what I want to be when I grow up, preparing for the ACT, and studying about 1 hour a day on a test that is unnecessary. So, I think that teachers should maybe lighten up and realize we a ton of stuff to do already and to let us breathe.

Bridget I totally agree. I wish I was a senior. That would be awesome but no we sill have one more year left of high school. These last few months seemed really slow but now spring break is just around the corner so I hope school seems to go by faster. I guess all we can do is hope.

This semester is more stressful than any semester I've had in my life. All i do is homework and write papers and study for my tests. It's horrible and I think that the teachers need to lay off a little bit and realize that we have more work than just for their class.

I totally agree this whole junior year is going by so slow and its so hard! I get so much homework every night and just cant wait for this year to be over! Junior year is tough because of the whole college thing and everyone is telling us this is our last year that colleges look at, and and we should get the best grades we can but it's so stressful! I couldn't wait to be an upper classman, now I can't wait for it to be over!

I agree that this semester is soo much harder than last semester. Even though we're only halfway through 3rd quarter, I feel like its been way longer and I've probably never been more stressed in my life. I can't wait til this semesters over and we start senior year:)

Yes i feel the same way! i need summer soooooo bad its not funny. i think it might be the cold also. im never outside anymore and it allways brings down my mood.

I agree this semester has been so much more stressful, but as much as I would love for it to end I also think about how we have only 2 semesters left after this one and its so weird to think that in 3 semesters we wont be highschoolers anymore, so as much as I want this semester to end I also dont want it to go by too fast.

I Agree with this beacuse first off all i just want the ACT to be done with already i am so stressed with school work and practicing for the ACT. DOnt get me wrong im very glad i have 1 more year left after senior year but i just want it to move QUICKLY.
