Recently, the weather has going up. It has been sunny outside and snow free. Something that we all pretty much enjoy. All students are anxious to get outside during the day instead of sitting in a classroom for eight hours. In some of my classes, students have asked teachers if we could have class outside. That is a great question. Having class outside would be loads of fun and would bring us into a completely different environment of learning and bring us new experiences.

Personally, I have had random days where I got to go outside for class. Going outside of course was for a learning purpose but, should we be able to go outside with our books and have a whole entire lesson taught to us?

I think that for educational purposes... yeah for sure we should be allowed to go outside for demonstrations and to explore the outdoors, such as for science classes. This would be great because it would be a hands on activity and it would be related to real life.

Do you think we should be able to go outside and soak up the sun for class once in a while?

I love the idea of having class outside. The problem is that it can be hard to co-ordinate such an event when you have all of the wind and rain of spring. It would be nice if we could do it more often though, as long as it doesn't prove to be too distracting to the students or teachers.

I LOVE the idea of having class outdoors. I think it helps us focus, because when we're inside all day without even a glimpse of the sun, we get dreary and lose concentration.

I would love to go outside for class and I think the fresh air and new setting for learning would be so nice and see things from a different perspective.

I think its a good idea to have class outside because one of the problems with our school is that we have barely any windows and for me personally I barely ever get to go outside when its warm because its cold early in the morning, I have no lunch period, and have practice after school. I think it would be nice to get out once and a while and it would be fun.

I would absolutely love to be able to go outside for class. I feel that if I were outside I would feel a lot more awake. The fresh air sometimes helps me think better; it's like a new perspective on what we're learning in class. I think at this point in the year even the teachers want to get outside during the day.

Going outside for class every once in awhile would be awesome. After bein all cooped up inside all day, just to get some fresh air here and there would be great. Especially with the nice weather.

I think going outside for class would be a really good idea once and awhile. A lot of the time when its nice out students have trouble concentrating on whats going on in the classroom because they want to go out and enjoy the fresh air. I think this is especially true right after winter when it first starts to get nice because we aren't used to it yet.

I would LOVE to go outside for class!!! yes it would be nice but i know students would get distracted very easliy. I know i would. But we never know how kids would act until we try it. And i think most students are mature enough to handle it.

I think we should be able to have class outside every once in a while. It would be a nice change of scenery and people are always saying kids need to get out in the sun more. A lot of my classes have asked to go outside on nice days but the teachers never let us because they say you have to plan ahead and the ofice gets mad. I think thats stupid, we should be able to go outside on a nice day without making it a big deal. It's not like we are going to run away or something!

I think we definately should pick some nice days to go outside. I know I can concentrate better if I'm happier, and being outside definately makes me happier. It's almost like how some classes have windows and others dont. It makes it a much happier and more comfortable environment if you can even at least see the outdoors. Last year Mr. Teshner took us outside and we all had to yell a letter and play a game in the middle of class. It made it easier to concentrate on the work we were doing when we got back inside because we were doing something fun. He also let us go outside some days to work. It takes a lot of stress out of you just seeing the sun:)

9/11 Skylines and Turnstiles

I'm not usually someone who writes a lot , not publicly anyway but I do love to express my self through art, usually visual art but most of the time the art I make is influenced by something . In this case it's a song a written by one of my favorite musicians as a response to the feeling of horror and disbelief as he watched the Twin Towers in New York go from icons to ruins on 9/11/01. The song is sad,…See More
