Pros and cons of having the Final Review online.

Since finals are coming up for most of you guys, and (hopefully) not for me, Mr. Anderson has, as you all hopefully have noticed, asked us everyday if we have any questions about the English portion of it.

Usually people don't really ask questions at all other then the everyday question "will we be able to write the paper before we take the final?" And as we sit there quietly without any questions I can't help but wonder if the reason for the lack of questions is because the review "sheet" is online. I mean, I can in all honesty say that I haven't looked over it once, I rarely ever go on the Ning except for when it's time to write my blog or do my Ning comments. Anyone else do the same thing?
And so what I really wanna know is if I'm the only one that thinks it's kind of a bad idea to only have it online?

I personally think that handing a copy out to everyone and make us go over it in class at least once would make everyone more focused on the final and actually start thinking about it, which would automatically create a couple of questions. Yes, it would lack the hyperlinks, but since it also is online that would force us to go on the Ning and look it up, so more Ning activity right there, or?

yeah, a physical copy would be better. I agree.

I love having the final review online. not only is it green (and trust me I don't care that much about being green but ik its good), but it also means extremely easy access anywhere you go. Also theres virtually no chance of loosing it.

I don't know. Personally, I think that it is helpful because I lose all of my papers and its nice to know that I can't lose it and it will always be in the same place.

i agree i do learn much better when i am personally handed a worksheet and told what will be on the final. i find that i concentrate me and i am more likely to study because i dont have the excuse that im to lazy to go online and print it off.

I'd much rather have an actual sheet with blanks to fill in. I find it a hassle to go on the computer to look at the final review.

its easier to have a sheet of paper because sometimes i dont always have access to the computer, and it would be nice to have something to write on.

its hard to take a side. I think either way some people aren't going to look over it. If it's online then there is less of a chance we will, but if it's class some shove it in their bag a forget about. At least handing out in class verifies that everyone got it.

I havent looked at it once andI believe that at least the direction part of it should be handed out.

I agree that handing out a paper with everything on it would be better just because its right there and when studying it would be better to have a sheet with everything on it because when on the internet you can get easily distracted by other things too. I also think that it would be a good idea to go over it in class instead of just us asking when we want.

9/11 Skylines and Turnstiles

I'm not usually someone who writes a lot , not publicly anyway but I do love to express my self through art, usually visual art but most of the time the art I make is influenced by something . In this case it's a song a written by one of my favorite musicians as a response to the feeling of horror and disbelief as he watched the Twin Towers in New York go from icons to ruins on 9/11/01. The song is sad,…See More
