So what were you all doing Saturday at 6:00p.m., preparing for rapture? This certainly isn’t the first time we have been told the world is going to end. In our lifetime we have been told the world would end a numerous amount of times like Y2K, or 2000, yet absolutely nothing happened. And I’m sure you have all heard about 2012. There has been so much buzz lately about the end of the world, and the media plays a huge part in people’s fear.

There are books, movies, and even songs about the end of the world. Now even turning on the radio you hear Jay Sean singing “Party like it’s the end of the world” or Brittany Spears singing “Till the World Ends”. There are also so many movies about the end of the world also like “2012” and “the Knowing”.  They show how the media interprets how it will happen with huge earthquakes and tsunamis. The media tries to make things seem worse than they are to get people’s attention. They are conveying the message that people should live it up and party. No one really knows when the world will end, for our whole lives we have been hearing that the world will end yet were all still here. You could either choose to live in fear or live life to the fullest.

What do you guys think about the buzz in the media about the end of the world?  Was anyone scared on Saturday at 6:00? Do you guys believe that 2012 will happen? Should we live it up or live in fear?

To be honest, I didn't even know about May 21, 2011 being one of the days that everyone thought the world was going to end til the of. I literally had no reaction towards it. I don't believe in any of that stuff. I think its all just a coincidence and nothing is going to happen.

yeah all these myths on the world ending truthfully, is a way to keep the people of this world on their toes. Obviously most everyone's biggest fear in life is death, and the ultimate death is doomsday, apocalypse, judgement day. so it is kind of living in the thrill that the world could end on a single day.

"There are many options out there, but to standardize is to tell a lot of teachers to learn something new or unfamiliar... it's a tricky subject.  That's why I'd love to start my own school, powered by Edmodo, Ning, etc :)"

9/11 Skylines and Turnstiles

I'm not usually someone who writes a lot , not publicly anyway but I do love to express my self through art, usually visual art but most of the time the art I make is influenced by something . In this case it's a song a written by one of my favorite musicians as a response to the feeling of horror and disbelief as he watched the Twin Towers in New York go from icons to ruins on 9/11/01. The song is sad,…See More
