THE FAME MONSTER

What do we think of Lady Gaga? Is she someone to look up to or just a freak that we all think is weird. Lady Gaga was raised in a normal Italian family in the lower side of New York. She began singing as a young child, and by age 19 she signed with Def Jam Records, but most people didn't recogize her until her first hit single came out "Just Dance" and that's when the Gaga craze hit. It seems that every award show that she's at afterward I always hear about her crazy and unique outfits. But where did she get started on her strange look? It started when she performed on stage with Lady Starlight who helped her create her performance outfits.

So is Gaga a good influence? She acts and dresses in this strange way because it obviously gets her attention, and when you're trying to make a name for yourself in the music industry I think it's a good idea to make yourself stand out even if you do look like a freak. In an interview with Ellen she said that she does these weird things to show people that it's okay to be weird and that other people can show their strange side too. Good influence?

Not only does she stand out from everybody but her music is also very catchy. I hear her songs so often on the radio that I can't stand them anymore even though I use to always like them. So is Lady Gaga someone to look up to and is she going to be around for a while or is she just a new and exciting phase that will quickly fade away?

Fist off i would like to say all of her music is terrible. She needs to learn to dress and act like a normal human. She is definatly a freak!

I love Lady Gaga! :) I agree with everyone above. She is entertaining, different, successful, etc. However, when I think of the term "role model", I associate it with a younger audience. I think her videos are on the sexual side for younger kids to be watching. I saw her in concert, and some of her outfits bordered on vulgar, and obviously her lyrics are too. I just don't think little girls should be singing about disco sticks, haha. I love Lady Gaga, but as for a role model? I don't think so...

I love Lady GaGa! She's definitely a little out there, but normal is no fun. Her outfits are weird and i would never wear anything like them. I like that she is unique and sets her own standards.

I think that in the way that she does her own thing she's a role model, but she might be a bit of a bad influence in the way that she does it, like the way she dresses and stuff. I read an article about her wearing a dress that made her blood pressure drop or something like that, so I guess that's not a good thing to do as a role model, but hopefully people are smart enough to not wear what she does.
But she is actually a really talented artist, even though a lot of her songs are the typical pop songs that anyone can make, she has some really good and more meaningful songs. And she's a really good piano player. I loved the song she did with Elton John at the Grammy's

I definitely don't think Lady GaGa will just quickly fade away. She has had so many hits solo and with other artists it seems like everyone wants to have a song featuring GaGa. As for the outfits...yeah they're completely ridiculous, but they definitely keep you on your toes because you never know what she's gonna wear next!

Lady Gagushka is very good!!! I think she is wonderful. She has a unique style that is very different from anyone. Her music just makes me want to get up and shake it. Look at her heels and clothes! Dont you just want to put that all on and walk into the Watertower!

I think that Lady Gaga is really strange and weird but i really do love her music. But, i also think her music is over played on the radio just a but too much. And her outfits are strange but thats how she expresses herself and i really like that about her.

I'm not going to lie, I think Lady Gaga can be very weird. But she's doing exactly what she wants to do. And by doing this, she's getting a lot of attention. I feel like in a way she's helping a lot of people break out of their shells. She's a weird role model. I feel like some of her fashion ideas aren't necessary, but she's doing this all for a reason. Just being comfortable in her own skin. And if she's confident and comfortable then we shouldn't care. She's a role model of the saying, "Living your life". And, I feel like she's going to be here a long time with the music she's been producing. Even if it's degrading and somewhat stupid, but it's catchy.

9/11 Skylines and Turnstiles

I'm not usually someone who writes a lot , not publicly anyway but I do love to express my self through art, usually visual art but most of the time the art I make is influenced by something . In this case it's a song a written by one of my favorite musicians as a response to the feeling of horror and disbelief as he watched the Twin Towers in New York go from icons to ruins on 9/11/01. The song is sad,…See More
