On Friday, November 26th, I decided to experience Black Friday
I slept over at my friends house and we got ready at 3 in the morning, we got to the mall at 4. The lines at some of the stores were ridiculous!! The line for Victoria Secret was about three hours long and the lines to any coffee place looked about one hour long. After a long and exhusting few hours of walking around what looked like a jungle of people, fighting over the last small t-shirt that was 75% off, I walked out of the mall happy with my purchase, but not as happy as I thought I was. Black Friday was a fun experience, just watching everyone fight over something that will be on sale in a few weeks, but I thought sales would have been better than going from $60 to $59.99. But I was happy that the things that I got were cheaper than what they would have been. I think Black Friday is more for people who have a lot on their Christmas list and want to get it done quick and cheaper than usual.

What do you think? Do you think waking up at 3 in the morning is worth going to the mall to get a few things?

Black friday is not worth it at all. Besides getting no sleep, I feel like your life is at risk of getting trampled by a stampede! i don't think that waiting in three hours lines is even close to saving a few bucks

I'm all for waking up on Black Friday. I always have, and I don't plan on stopping. While I agree, not all the deals are fantastic, it's more about the experience for me. I get so frustrated while there, but it's still so much fun. I'll admit, I'm not one of those crazy people who camp out in front of Best Buy, but I do love waking up and getting some shopping done.

At 3 in the morning I better be having the night of my life or asleep.  Shopping doesn't qualify for either.  I do my christmas shopping throughout the year.  If its july and I see something I know somebody might like, I buy it for them and mark them off of my christmas list, come november I may have two names left, so there's no stress.

It's totally not worth waking up at 3 or even staying up until 2 strikes the clock. Last year I remember hearing that this elderly guy fell and got trampled on and died. Its all fun and games until someone gets hurt...or dies? Whatever it is that your going to buy will be on sale in the next two weeks. People get all crazy over nothing. Why put yourself in that situation.

Today i feel that black friday is becoming more and more useless. Todays technology brings more room for improvement. Thats why i think that Cyber monday is far better than black friday. I say this because you can get much better deals  and dont have to be in such a rush to get them early. Also on cyber monday doesnt involve waiting in line, waking up early and you can do it from the comfort of home.

On black Friday i camped out overnight at Bestbuy with my friend, planning to buy cool things at super low prices. The weather outside was around -10 and I wasn't really prepared for it. When we finally got in the store we figured out that the deals weren't anything what we thought they were going to be. The best deal that i saw was 100$ off a 1400$ computer, which isn't that great at all. Despite this, the experience was a lot of fun, and I'm glad i went.

In my personal opinion, I think that waking up at 3 A.M. is worth going to the mall. Its not just for the discount shopping, its for watching the people getting into fights over the littlest things. I remember there was a brand new video game out, and two kids were fighting over the last copy. It cracked me up, and Clayton is right. It is worth to be up at 3 A.M. to get the best deals on shopping.

I went shopping on Black Friday with my friend's mother and we left their house at 2:30 in the morning.  I fell asleep at twelve and woke up two hours later.. Was it worth it.? Probably not, but it's sure fun to see all the crazy people fighting over things. It was freezing cold, and lines were long, but I must say we got some great deals.  Although, black friday isn't the only day to shop with great sales. From black friday on to Christmas there are some amazing sales.  So was it worth it to go shopping, no. But was it fun, yes.  It was an experience that people should experience, because I believe it was less crowed then the mall after black friday.

I think waking up that early is more wirth it to just have fun. The past two years my family and I have gone out ot the stores to shop a little but also to have a good time watching people and laughing at the prople hurrying into stores to get deals. I also think that it's worth it to wait for something that early because it saves money, even if it costs sleep.

I think waking up early for Black Friday is totally worth it! It is only once a year and it is usually tons of fun and you get good deals on your Christmas shopping! Although waking up that early is not for everyone, it is totally worth it, especially when money is tight! Even if you only save a couple of dollars, it is that much more you have in your pocket.

9/11 Skylines and Turnstiles

I'm not usually someone who writes a lot , not publicly anyway but I do love to express my self through art, usually visual art but most of the time the art I make is influenced by something . In this case it's a song a written by one of my favorite musicians as a response to the feeling of horror and disbelief as he watched the Twin Towers in New York go from icons to ruins on 9/11/01. The song is sad,…See More
