Whenever I'm outside on a clear night I always find myself gazing up into the sky at the stars. With my eyes glazed over in astonishment at all these millions of stars scattered in the sky is when I really see how small we really are. There are millions are stars in our galaxy with planets rotating around them. On top of that there are millions or even billions of galaxies in the universe making endless possibilities of what can be out there. I believe that there has to be some sort of other life somewhere in the universe because it is so vast. The human brain can't even begin to comprehend how big the universe really is.
The closest sun to ours is called Proxima Centauri. A beam of light from this star takes 4 years just to each earth. 4 years! And this is just the closest star to ours. That gives you a little idea of how big the universe is. I always find myself thinking about what is the end of space? Does it stop at some point or just go on indefinitely? And how did space begin, was there just vast nothingness before that? I don't know those are some questions that I wish I could have the answer to. But I also believe that the aspect of having some mystery in our lives is what keeps us going and keeps us curious. The unknown or the mysterious things in life are the most interesting and intriguing aren't they? It's almost like religion. You don't know for sure there what you believe in is whats actually going on or what is true but you think it to be true because its what you believe or the way you've been brought up to think of things. It's that feeling of mystery, the unknown that aspires us to go out into the world and search for the answers. Mystery is what keeps peoples minds curious. I will never know where the universe ends of if there is other life out there but hey, I kind of like it that way.
What are you guys views on space and the universe?
