The girls in this video are 7 years old dancing to Beyonce’s “Single Lady”. These little girls are dancing provocatively in bootie shorts and little tops. Miley Cyrus also recently came out with a new video for her song “I can’t be Tamed” and many people believe this is inappropriate for the Disney star. There’s no doubt that these young girls are talented and great dancers, but I don’t think this is the kind of dance they should be doing. I think what makes it bad is that they are wearing such provocative outfits, and if their costumes were different, it wouldn’t have been so bad.

In interviews, the parents knew what was going on, but they are proud of their children because the dance was difficult and they spent around 12 hours a week learning the routine. The parents also think that the dance was harmless and they said the children were inspired by the female chipmunks in “Alvin and the Chipmunks”. Miley Cyrus has also been criticized for her video, but in my opinion I don’t think her video is bad, and I think she is talented. She is a Disney star but she’s trying to transition out of that and I think this is a good way for her to start.

Is this the result of influence from the media and other stars? Is this the kind of things that influenced the little girls? What is your opinion on these little girls and other young stars? Are they influenced by media too much?

...wow...that was a little shocking. when i was 7 im pretty sure i didnt kow people could even move like that. and also if i was a parent and i had a young child i dont think i would want them seeing that miley cyrus video. i think its just a little too much for kids yet, but thats the world we live in, for some reason they are always tryin to push kids into growin up quicker. if i ever have kids im going to want them to hold onto their innocents for as long as they can.

I think those girls were awesome dancers, but do the really need to wear those outfits to show it? They could have had more tasteful costumes and the parents are definitely to blame for this crazy video. As for the Miley Cyrus video I don't think it's really all that bad. I think it was time for her to move on from Disney channel, she was getting a little to old for the channel in my opinion.

At my work we had a training session and one of the section was about how everthing that is posted on the internet will always be there. This video is not that bad and would have been okay if it was not plastered across the front page of yahoo. The onlly thing i have to say i what will theese little girls think in 10 years of how they danced?

Everything people do these days is a result of the media. When little kids look at things that should not be seen by kids their age, it causes them to act how they see others acting. It's crazy how much times have change

I have seen this video before. My friend and I have said that these girls are dressed up that way because of their parents. Their parents paid for the outfits and let them wear it on national television. Either these parents want fame for the WRONG reason, or they just don't care if their daughters are dressed like sluts on national tv. Pedophiles, here they come.

That was disturbing.

I heard about this all weekend because I loved the music video Single Ladies and these girls took it way too far. I don't understand what their parents were thinking allowing this.

This is just sad. The parents of these kids really need some help and I feel really bad for the kids. This video is really upsetting.

I just spent the weekend watching dozens of talented girls (and a couple of boys) demonstrate their dancing skills in several recital shows. I didn't see anything in such poor taste as shown here.

As several have mentioned, the girls in the video are talented dancers. The costumes and choreography actually detract from their dancing skills. Poor decisions from the grown-ups on this one!

I find the sad part is that, that kind of dance is typical at a dance competition. Even those costumes are too. I have to admit that I haven't seen anything that bad, but it is sad when you see little kids dancing like that.

9/11 Skylines and Turnstiles

I'm not usually someone who writes a lot , not publicly anyway but I do love to express my self through art, usually visual art but most of the time the art I make is influenced by something . In this case it's a song a written by one of my favorite musicians as a response to the feeling of horror and disbelief as he watched the Twin Towers in New York go from icons to ruins on 9/11/01. The song is sad,…See More
