The girls in this video are 7 years old dancing to Beyonce’s “Single Lady”. These little girls are dancing provocatively in bootie shorts and little tops. Miley Cyrus also recently came out with a new video for her song “I can’t be Tamed” and many people believe this is inappropriate for the Disney star. There’s no doubt that these young girls are talented and great dancers, but I don’t think this is the kind of dance they should be doing. I think what makes it bad is that they are wearing such provocative outfits, and if their costumes were different, it wouldn’t have been so bad.

In interviews, the parents knew what was going on, but they are proud of their children because the dance was difficult and they spent around 12 hours a week learning the routine. The parents also think that the dance was harmless and they said the children were inspired by the female chipmunks in “Alvin and the Chipmunks”. Miley Cyrus has also been criticized for her video, but in my opinion I don’t think her video is bad, and I think she is talented. She is a Disney star but she’s trying to transition out of that and I think this is a good way for her to start.

Is this the result of influence from the media and other stars? Is this the kind of things that influenced the little girls? What is your opinion on these little girls and other young stars? Are they influenced by media too much?

This is what the current age has standards of sadly. TV and movie ratings are getting less and less strict because the standards that America once held are dwindling. Elvis Presley used to be video from the waist up because of his inappropriate dancing. That dancing is no where near as intense as as this dancing which shows how america is slipping away from those high standards and attracting people not by the skills of the dancing but by the hint of sexual content.

When I saw this I was more impressed with how well they were dancing then thinking about how it was inappropriate. I think thats all people think about when they see something like this, but they need to realize that its just dancing. They are not going to go out and become prostitutes. I think that people are making to big a deal out of this whole thing.

in my opinion, mileys dance isnt provocative its kinda disgusting and jittery, but the video of the girls is an outrage. if i knew that was going on i wouldnt have let my daughter dance in that outfit or to that song or anything, the parents of those kids should be ashamed of themselves

Although these girls were amazing dancers, I agree that their outfits should have been less exposing because of their extremely young age.

This is crazy! I can't believe the parents let the little girls dress and dance like that. it's a bit scary to think about how they will be when they are older.

OMG! That was scary! They're talented, but that was very inappropriate! I believe that we are influence from the media and stars. I always get surprised watching these things. I know in Korea they allow these things. It's crazy. Our world has gone so superficial! I feel that kids should learn to be their age and not try to grow up. I feel like the Miley Cyrus issue was inappropriate, also. I understand that she wants to transition out of being a Disney star. But she shouldn't have used a sexy image to do that. They're other ways to transition yourself.

Wow! Those 7 year olds did not need to be doing that on stage. I recently watch my dance recitals from when I was little and I was in yellow fluff outfits doing dance to a cowboy song. I think this is horrible and it is even worse that people felt the need to show it online.

that video reminds me of the show toddlers and tiaras on tlc. its just so unnatural for these young girls to be dressed up like that and to dance that way. it's not like they had a choice. parents should have respect for their daughters.

I saw this video while I was watching tv the other day. I think its insane that these girls are only 7 years old and their parents actually sat there and watched this. The worst part of it is that these little girls are wearing even less clothing than beyonce wears in the music video.

9/11 Skylines and Turnstiles

I'm not usually someone who writes a lot , not publicly anyway but I do love to express my self through art, usually visual art but most of the time the art I make is influenced by something . In this case it's a song a written by one of my favorite musicians as a response to the feeling of horror and disbelief as he watched the Twin Towers in New York go from icons to ruins on 9/11/01. The song is sad,…See More
