Kristina Lopez commented on Ryan Woodman's blog post Is it music if you don't use a guitar?
"Although it does take some talent to make these types of songs, one can learn the skill relatively quickly. This music is not something you learn while you grow up, it is a "now" kind of thing. I hate this music to be honest. It will take…"

Elvis Presley: "Hound Dog," 1956

Kristina Lopez commented on Rachel Izydorek's blog post Can We Fall In Love At 17?

Volcano

On Saturday May 21, 2011, a volcano in Iceland erupted. It is not a common experience for a volcano to blow its top. This was the first eruption in that particular volcano since 2004, yet this most recent eruption was its largest in 100 years. The name of the volcano is Grimsvotn near the city of Reykjavik. Luckily, a glacier was covering the volcano, and it was not close to any towns. No one was hurt due to the…

So, You're a Herbivore?

Vegetarianism is becoming more and more popular for teens and young adults, but a lot of people still do not completely understand what vegetarianism really is.  I have been a vegetarian for over 3 years, and I still get questions on what vegetarianism is and why I chose this life style.

Vegetarianism, by definition, is…

The Controversy of Homosexuality

The removal of the Don't Ask, Don't Tell policy was signed by the President on December 22, 2010, but why did it take so long to remove? Or should it have been removed? Controversies like these have been very popular in the news lately; they are all about gay rights.

I decided to talk about this topic because it can make everyone mad. Either mad that gays are getting rights or mad that they only have a few rights. The…

9/11 Skylines and Turnstiles

I'm not usually someone who writes a lot , not publicly anyway but I do love to express my self through art, usually visual art but most of the time the art I make is influenced by something . In this case it's a song a written by one of my favorite musicians as a response to the feeling of horror and disbelief as he watched the Twin Towers in New York go from icons to ruins on 9/11/01. The song is sad,…See More
