Hello, Youtube! Welcome to Fremd.

 I never thought I would see the day. The people in charge of District 211 have finally seen the light. In case you haven’t already noticed, there has been an extremely exciting new addition to the websites accessible at school. This sacred vessel that is home to millions of videos ranging in all genres is now perfectly acceptable to use at Fremd. Youtube has made its way into the education system. If this isn’t a sign that times are changing, I don’t know what is. Pretty soon, Facebook and…See More

Favorite thing about American Studies
I'm not sure yet, the year just started. It seems like a fun class because of the way it relates history to what we are reading in english. Also, to other things like art and buildings at the time in history. I'm excited to see how it goes!

Will Japan's Crisis Affect the U.S.?

As many of you may have heard in the news, Japan isn't doing so hot right now. I also do realize that some of you may be a little current event challenged, so I'm going to fill you in on what is going on over there. On March 11, 2011, a devastating 9.0 earthquake hit near the east coast of Honshu, Japan. It became one of the largest in recorded history and caused some of the worst destruction ever. If that wasn't enough, shortly after the earthquake struck, a 23-foot tsunami was triggered…

Hey Facebook, why are we so obsessed with you?

When I arrive home from school, I always deal with the same problem. In my mind, I have this master plan to start my homework the minute I get home. That way, I can actually get to bed at a decent time on a school night (for once in my life). But then, I make the worst mistake I could possibly make. I say to…

Halloween = Holiday?

It's almost that time of year again! Creepy kids in plastic masks come to your door and beg for free candy. Parents dress up their babies in costumes that will forever embarrass them. College kids across the nation have another excuse to party (just in a different outfit). What is this wonderful day that we pretend to call a holiday? Oh that's right, it's Halloween. It's the one day a year that you can eat as much candy as you want and be… Continue

9/11 Skylines and Turnstiles

I'm not usually someone who writes a lot , not publicly anyway but I do love to express my self through art, usually visual art but most of the time the art I make is influenced by something . In this case it's a song a written by one of my favorite musicians as a response to the feeling of horror and disbelief as he watched the Twin Towers in New York go from icons to ruins on 9/11/01. The song is sad,…See More
