Video Games or Outdoor Games?

When I was about 7 years old, during summer I was outside almost every day along with all the other kids in my neighborhood. But these days, I don’t see as many as I used to. Now they’re all inside on the computer, watching TV or playing video games and this can lead to serious health problems, not only now, but in the future.

Kids these days aren’t getting the proper amount of exercise. Statistics show that kids aren’t outside as much as they should be and exercise rates…

You're only 12, but you look 16.

Elementary school should be a time of fun, creativity and worry free. Not texting, revealing clothing and drama. I feel that these days more and more younger kids are acting like they are in high school while they’re only in elementary school. To confirm this, I talked to my little sister, who is in the 6th grade and she agreed with me.

She said that there are cliques already and there is a group of girls in her grade already wear make-up and one of them even wore…

92% = A, A- or B+ ?

You go to your math class and you get a 92%  on a test, that's a B+. But later you got to your science class and a 92% on a test is an A. Why is this? I'm not exactly sure and I don't think it makes much sense. We all grew up with the grading scale where 90-100% is an A, 80-89% is a B, 70-79% is a C and so on. Why change the scale though? It's easy to figure out and I never saw a problem with it.  But I guess someone did.

Because now in high school, some classes kept it the same, some…

Students, Take Out Your Laptops. We're Going To Take Some Notes.

What would school be like if all students had their own laptops, and that's all they had to bring every day? Would it make school better or worse?

I personally think it would be a great idea if everyone had their own laptop. It could help with so many issues, some not even specifically relating to school. We already do so much on the computer for school so why not give everyone their own laptop? We write papers, check grades, e-mail teachers. They even gave every student their own… Continue

9/11 Skylines and Turnstiles

I'm not usually someone who writes a lot , not publicly anyway but I do love to express my self through art, usually visual art but most of the time the art I make is influenced by something . In this case it's a song a written by one of my favorite musicians as a response to the feeling of horror and disbelief as he watched the Twin Towers in New York go from icons to ruins on 9/11/01. The song is sad,…See More
