the whole entrance of "work makes you free" was kind of a way of censoring the ones that entered. Though, at the same time, it was kind of ironic, in a way. Either way, when people would be forced into concentration camps, they would either die right away or die further on into their time...but majority of those people thought that they went somewhere after death. So, would that mean that through this censorship, there is actually truth when looked at in detail?
I find it really interesting.

yeah, or like, work makes you free or something like that! I went in 2007 with my school, or the whole 10th grade went there as a school trip. It's a normal thing to do when we're in 10th grade because we learn a lot about the holocaust during 9th grade so. And it was really surreal being there because it was such a nice day, and like this part of the camp didn't look bad at all, so it was hard to understand and grasp that all the horrible stuff that happened actually took place right there!

Yeah, I agree with Maia. What was the quote again? Was it like "Work Brings Freedom"? It's so awful. Did you go during vacation or something? You guys didn't go as a school right? It's all the way at Poland so I'm assuming you went on your own time? It's so cool how the place is still there, but it's absolutely awful what they did in that place.

Wow! This is like almost the same picture that Mr. Palmer showed us on the power point yesterday. The picture and the background look so pretty, it's really sad to think that they used such a place to do such terrible things.

"There are many options out there, but to standardize is to tell a lot of teachers to learn something new or unfamiliar... it's a tricky subject.  That's why I'd love to start my own school, powered by Edmodo, Ning, etc :)"

9/11 Skylines and Turnstiles

I'm not usually someone who writes a lot , not publicly anyway but I do love to express my self through art, usually visual art but most of the time the art I make is influenced by something . In this case it's a song a written by one of my favorite musicians as a response to the feeling of horror and disbelief as he watched the Twin Towers in New York go from icons to ruins on 9/11/01. The song is sad,…See More
