The movie shows a good number of historical places . I think it's cool that the book and the movie are so accurate that you can almost literally retrace all he action that happened in the movie .

Yea, but the book and the movie weren't alike. A lot of the key scenes in the book, were so different in the movie. I had issues watching it due to this. I love the book and the movie. I think the movie is good on its own when you don't compare it to the book.
At least it's better than the movie version of Eragon was , compared to the book it could be a different series ! They skipped so many important things and they messed up the rest of it . Separately they're both good but if you compare them the movie has a bunch of gaps and flaws in it .
I think the movie itself was very good, but when you compare it to the book the movie just doesn't do it justice. My friend that I went with he had not read the book and he really liked it. I left the theater disappointed.
Thats how it usually seems . The books tend to usually be more descriptive and more detailed thats why they are usually "better " than the movie . I agree with you on that .
Exact same thing happened with me and my dad. We went with one of my friends, and we had both read the book and he hadn't and he loved it.
So everyone told me that this movie was really bad, so I wasn't expecting much when I went into it.

I was amazed. I tried to read the book last summer but I got really bored, but now I would gladly try again. I give the movie mad props. You never knew who did it to the very end and I thought that Ewan McGregor did an awesome job. It was so suspenseful that me and my cousin were screaming at the TV. :) Overall I thought that it was a really good movie.
This is a rather old post.. (almost a year old) but I saw the movie recently. I haven't read the book but from what my father has read he said the movie and the book itself are not alike. Then again, you can't possibly fit everything that the book mentioned in the movie. The movie would be neverending. I thought though it was a good film but a little graphic in some scenes.
I actually really liked the movie. It had a great twist and kind of a sad ending. I really enjoyed Tom Hank's performance again as he portrays the main character. It takes you all through Rome and it's a good movie, but I'd recommend watching it twice or maybe three times but no more.

"There are many options out there, but to standardize is to tell a lot of teachers to learn something new or unfamiliar... it's a tricky subject.  That's why I'd love to start my own school, powered by Edmodo, Ning, etc :)"

9/11 Skylines and Turnstiles

I'm not usually someone who writes a lot , not publicly anyway but I do love to express my self through art, usually visual art but most of the time the art I make is influenced by something . In this case it's a song a written by one of my favorite musicians as a response to the feeling of horror and disbelief as he watched the Twin Towers in New York go from icons to ruins on 9/11/01. The song is sad,…See More
