The Fremd High School American Studies Ning

I just thought that I would start up a discussion of Mr. Green. Say whatever you feel you need to say. Share how you're feeling, favorite memories, or anything you want about Mr. Green.

My favorite memory of Mr. Green was my freshman year and he was in charge of Ultimate Frisbee club in the spring. I had so much fun with that. One day it was tied and I was running into the end zone, Matt Koehlinger threw the Frisbee to me and I jumped up to get it, and Mr. Green just tackled me. Sent me flat on my back. He grabbed the frisbee while I was on the ground and threw it downfield where his team in turn scored on us and won the game. He helped me up laughing and saying, "now i couldn't let a freshman beat the old man now could i?"

That's the kind of man he is, and I couldn't have been happier to know him.

Oh, and that's only 1 in about 100,000,000,000 stories of Mr. Green.

Feel Free by ALL means to put as many stories down as you want/need/can. This is what it is here for.

One of my memories of Mr. Green was when we had one of those Show and Tell days in Treble Choir where we could get up in front of the class and share something whether it be related to music or not (I think). So when it was my turn, I rolled the green chalkboard into the middle of the room and was about to show the class how I could write with both my hands...however, I did not know what to write on the board. So I asked the class and Mr. Green yelled, "How about Mr. Green is awesome?" So to show the class that I could write with both my hands I wrote out "Mr. Green is awesome" on the board... : )
Thanks for brightening my day Louisa!
Mr. Green was a great person. I also remember him from ultimate frisbee club. My friend convinced me to go to a game. I remeber i was so shy and didnt know what to do. Mr. Green was the nicest person introduces me to the other players and he helped me understand the game more. I never had Mr. Green as a teacher but I will always remeber him as one of the greatest nicest teachers ive ever known.
There are so many stories and memories I could put here, but I don't want to clog up this post. Mr. Green probably one of the best and most inspirational people I have ever met. He is one of those people that, on the wordt day ever, could make you smile and maybe even laugh. His dedication to music was amazing. He was one of those people that you only meet once in your life, if your lucky. I just wish I would've realized that sooner.
Rachel, now that you say that, I honestly can't remember ever having a conversation with him and not laughing. During Men's A Capella, I would leave in sheer pain from laughing too hard, too much, for too long... and I still came back.

And feel free to put as many stories as you want/need/can that's what we're here for, keeping his memory alive.
My favorite memory of mister green is my freshman year when he sang I'm my own grandpa.  He always had that great sense of humor that made class with him really fun.
I remember walking into treble choir.. first day of freshman year, let's just say I was terrified. I looked around and didn't really know anybody that well. But Mr. Green insisted that I would meet people in there that would be my best friends for the rest of my life. He just made me feel comfortable. I knew that no matter what, I'd be okay in that class. Although we didn't always see eye to eye, as I look back now I see that incredible person Mr. Green was, and the amazing talent he had. I can honestly say he was one of the most talented people I will ever have the pleasure of knowing. RIP Mr. Green. We love you.

"There are many options out there, but to standardize is to tell a lot of teachers to learn something new or unfamiliar... it's a tricky subject.  That's why I'd love to start my own school, powered by Edmodo, Ning, etc :)"

9/11 Skylines and Turnstiles

I'm not usually someone who writes a lot , not publicly anyway but I do love to express my self through art, usually visual art but most of the time the art I make is influenced by something . In this case it's a song a written by one of my favorite musicians as a response to the feeling of horror and disbelief as he watched the Twin Towers in New York go from icons to ruins on 9/11/01. The song is sad,…See More
