After opening to sold-out crowds at the Toronto Film Festival and the Berlin Film Festival, FOOD, INC. opened theatrically in the US in June '09. In FOOD, INC., Director Robert Kenner lifts the veil on our nations’ food industry, exposing the highly mechanized underbelly that’s been hidden from the American consumer. Featuring interviews with such food experts as Eric Schlosser (Fast Food Nation) and Michael Pollan (The Omnivore’s Dilemma), FOOD, INC. reveals surprising truths about what we eat.

Kenner's previous film, Two Days in October, a PBS American Experience special, received the 2006 Peabody, the Emmy for exceptional merit in Non-Fiction Filmmaking, and the Grierson (British Documentary). His other notable work includes his co-filmmaking endeavor with Richard Pearce on The Road to Memphis, a film from the Martin Scorsese series, The Blues; and directing several films for "American Experience" including Influenza 1918, John Brown's Holy War, and War Letters.
